All you can do is your best. The outcome doesn't care about your plans .

This week's Dime Store Philosophy:

All you can do is your best. The outcome doesn't care  about your plans .

You can have a vision board, a five-year plan, a ten-year plan, and a backup plan for when the first two plans catch on fire.Life will still do whatever life was going to do.

Do the work. Make the effort. Show up consistently.
After that, you're negotiating with forces far above your pay grade.

You can't control the weather. You can't control the economy. You can't control what people think about you. And you certainly can't control a bitter baby mama who treats a disagreement from 2017 like it's an unsolved cold case.

The funny thing is, most of our stress comes from trying to manage things that were never ours to manage in the first place.

Your responsibility is the effort.
The outcome is like that one relative who never RSVPs to the family cookout. It shows up when it wants to, leaves when it wants to, and somehow still expects a plate.

That's life.

Do your best and let the chips fall where they may. They're going to fall where they want anyway.
